If you are a beginner or intermediate skater and would like to skate the streets of Fresno, I have created this blog and maps for you to skate, bike or jog, all routes shown have been skated (more than once).
I always recommend larger wheel skates, not available in Fresno stores... A minimum of 90mm wheel is desirable, 100mm to 110mm is best.
You can find good skates following the links below...
K2 Skates
Rollerblades
Street skating requires additional skills and a high level of awareness, know your streets, know your rush hours, know your rules, always be polite, share the road just like bicycles do, most bicycle rules apply to you while on wheels (if not all). Always use bike lanes where available and stay on your right, use sidewalks when necessary and allow pedestrians their right of way...
While is not my intention to fill you with a set of rules, always use common sense when skating on roads and sidewalks, you are a moving vehicle when skating...
ABCE= Always Be Careful... Enjoy...!!
