  • THE LEWIS S EATON TRAIL
This is a great trail to have fun at... is mostly a semi smooth paved path from within the park all the way up to Friant, there are so many great curbs and hills that will make you roll faster than you might have in flat land...! It's a mild to medium workout depending on how fast you decide to skate it...

I started it at the little Kiosk in the far end of the park and worked my way into the trail, it's very busy with friends walking, jogging, biking, skateboarding... most fellows in this part of town are friendly, I have seen a few skaters before... but, none today...

I'ts a very comfortable path and there is plenty of room to share it with others, I have been skating this trail for over a year now and while I use it mostly when I have friends around, I also take it as part of my routine training and add the loop around the park plus the streets nearby to make it worthwhile...

Besides enjoying the trail itself there is this somewhat nice scenery, you can sit on one of the benches across the trail and watch a nice sunset right from it's heights...! It is also nicely accommodated with several outhouses and water fountains in case you get too far into the trail and there is no time to get back to the park...

The trail is accessible trough various entrances, I chose to pay the park fees and park my vehicle in a safe place, but, there is an entrance right from East Champlain Dr. where you can walk in to it... another entrance is trough Rice Road where there is a bit of a space to park a few vehicles there...

Many times when you're up and down the trail you'd find little rabbits roaming about playfully, that have grown somewhat accustomed to people passing by... plus on your left there is always Yosemite road down below, the San Joaquin River and more.

The path has two over passes/bridges that are somewhat rough but manageable to skaters, larger wheel as I always suggest for anyone skating from beginner to pro's
Not to mention the feeling of a long and endless trail when you run into the downhills and uphills that give you that extra burning in your legs when going up, it seems that after every little hill, there is what I call a break station if you feel like resting on one of the many benches provided...

Well I hope you've enjoyed the Lewis S Eaton Trail as I did and will for years to come, get on your game, get your skates and go out, give this little trail a try, you won't be disappointed, bring the friends along, may that be skating, biking, jogging or just plain walking the evening out in this great place...!

Right here at the very end of it there is this nice little Kiosk with benches and water fountains even one for your dog where you can take a nice break and enjoy the view...

I don't know where my skates will take me next time, but, wherever that may be, I will take several pictures and will bring a little description for everyone to read and enjoy...!

Happy Skating, hope you liked my blog... don't forget to see the pictures on panoramio....
